What do we want to be happy?
AHMEDABAD-JODHPUR Road Trip
Ahmedabad To Jodhpur By Road
The purpose of my writing this post is to provide an idea to people who are planning to travel from Ahmedabad to Jodhpur via road in car or on a bike. I travelled on my bike Yamaha R15.
Distance Travelled- 460 Kms.
Time Taken- 6 Hrs including a lunch break and a few Photography halts.
The Route. Red pins are the important Landmarks of the trip.
Route Taken ---Ahmedabad - Chandkheda - Mehsana Toll Highway - Mehsana - Palanpur - Abu Road - Pali-Jodhpur.
The roads right from Mehsana highway to Abu Road are really very good its a four lane highway, two lanes for each direction. The journey is a pleasure and can be taken very easily on bike or in car. My usual riding speed was 130-135 Kms/hr, though I would not recommend to ride at such speeds on bike. Just carry a little water nothing much needs to be carried as there are a lots of places where one can buy stuff on the way. If asked for my view I would say an overcast is the best weather to travel but if you are in car, it weather won't make much of a difference. The road after Abu Road is a two lane National Highway no more dividers. The road is ok. Ok does not mean bad but it is not as good as Mehsana to Abu Road one.
The distances and directions written on the way are very very clear so there is never a need to Ask for directions, however if you are carrying a GPS then nothing like it. Please be careful about the signs reading populated area ahead slow down, follow these signs they are really well placed and warn you well before U can make a mistake. Slow down wherever written accident prone zone because they really are and I experienced it myself that slowing down was necessary there.
It will take you no time to reach Sirohi, an average driver takes approximately 4 Hrs to reach Sirohi from Ahmedabad, where I would recommend to take a lunch break at Baba Ramdev Restaurant which is actually a Dhaba. This is a nice and hygienic place with some nice facilities. There is also a hotel with the same name where one can halt if too tired to carry on for the journey. From this dhaba it takes approximately 2 or 2 1/2 Hrs to reach Jodhpur.
Baba Ramdev Restaurant and Hotel Sirohi.
Please Ask for directions here at the Dhaba as there is a turn to be taken for National Highway to Jodhpur.
On the way there are a few picturesque locations where you can take a halt for photography. There are a plenty of company operated filling stations on the way so one need not worry about fuel though its always recommended to have a safe quantity always in your tank when on a journey.
Above are a few of my halts. Hope this was Helpful. You can say thanks by posting comments. :) . Have Fun.

Child Lost !!!!!
No one can know this better than me. Being a child till now (age of 24), being joyous and spreading a cheerful aura wherever i went, i never knew all this would change one day so suddenly that i would sit, cry and fight to get back that child in me but he wont come...he is lost with someone so special and loved in the family that it makes me think, is life really how we take it ? or is it that someone is actually controlling it from somewhere else. In times like this i feel if a person lives a healthy life, it is real luck for him, with so many new diseases coming up everyday, so many new reasons to die e.g a taste for adventure that leads to loving high speeds and risking everything for a minute of fun. For those who come out of it is fun, for those who won't its a nightmare may be not for them but for those who are left behind.
I have been pretty much adventurous myself I hardly find guys my age as adventurous as me I have always been ahead of times at least here around me, but then i think is it me who is doing all these stunts? Is it me who took that risk and came out to tell all about it? NO, is my answer. There are a few different ways to look at it. Though one may argue that one can not just sit
A rookie guy does a stunt for first time and comes out fine to talk about it, while a pro tries that same thing and meets with a horrible accident, isn't it something we all have heard one or the other time. A guy who doesn't know swimming falls in deep water like lake or pond and comes out simply by splashing his hands and legs randomly while a pro swimmer dies in a swimming pool what do you think is the reason? Doesn't it all make you wonder what if your life is not really yours? What if someone else is governing it? What if you think you control your life and say you break a jar to prove it no one can stop you yeah rite

Questions, questions and more questions but hardly any answers but yes at least we can stop taking risk with lives because life once lost can not be brought back. This is one irreparable loss, if a few people can follow this they can prevent a child in someone somewhere from getting lost..that child can continue to spread cheer and joy around..Save the child in you for good.
Complex isn't it ?
"Religion deals with the truths of the metaphysical world, just as chemistry and the other natural sciences deal with the truth of the physical world. The book one must read to learn chemistry is the book of (external) nature. The book from which to learn religion is your own mind and heart. The sage is often ignorant of physical science, because he reads the wrong book - the book within and the scientist is too often is ignorant of religion, because he, too, reads the wrong book - the book without".
Such an intelligent choice of words. This sometimes leads me to wonder is there really a science? i question science because the so called scientists (who study science) renounce spirituality, whereas spirituality always co existed with science. My feeble mind can only think of science as the laws of nature created by the supreme to keep us bound in some limits so that we can not create havoc in the most beautiful of his creations. Something similar to what happens to Neo in the Matrix, he was bound by laws which actually never existed but when he realizes himself he could do whatever he wanted. Matrix itself was a fancy rip-off of the holy Geeta (compilation of words spoken by Lord Krishna in the battlefield). The point is of self realization. Is it so that once you have realization you will know the begining of it all. The begining of time-the begining of god. What would it lead to?.. heaven or is it just a human imagination.
There are many studies trying to find a relation indirectly like a study that was carried out on more than 20,000 people and it was acertained that lonely, sad, socially less active and less loved people had comparatively shorter lifespan. Here comes my question isn't it that medical science tells us that logevity of life depends on genes, DNA and on cellular level, so how come these things in the study mentioned above ..reached the genes. To support my opinion i have one more question.
How do such human experiences as job satisfaction, happiness, and meditation get into the cells? There is a physiology of loving and caring, ranging from embarrassing facial blush to palpitations, sweating and stammering. Feelings of love generate physical events. It may seem a distant transition from being in love in one's teens to being a confidant or a supportive spouse later in life, but physiologic changes are involved on both ends of the spectrum. These changes are not trivial. They can make the difference between life and death. There are instances of people who really fought for their life and came out alive out of seemingly impossible situations which may look like a miracle, then there are others who were saved by someone and they admitted they did not even fight to be alive.
What is it that encourages one man to fight against all odds and the other to just give up? Why so many times the thoughts of families boost one's morale to fight. Muscles also reach a fatigue level then what is it that keeps them going? Is it just BRAIN or there is a SOUL / MIND too, carrying our weights which connects to other souls (souls of people we love) in such a strange way that despite physical distance and actual encouragements one gets strength to fight.
Only if we could find the connection........

VARANASI-BANARES-BENARES-BANARAS >Mesmerising, Exhilarating, Enchanting and Beautiful.
The Beautiful Morning at Ganges (Ganga), Varanasi 2009.
During my recent visit to the city I was truly overwhelmed by the spiritual feeling the city holds. Mornings in Varanasi are the most beautiful ones, and I am sure no one who has been to Varanasi would disagree. Its a city of temples. you just can't count them. The city has a beautiful religious history. Some of the credit can be given to Ganga river, the most important and respected river in SANATAN DHARMA or popularly known as HINDUISM, the river is so much respected that everyday in the evening a special prayer event takes place.Varanasi has narrow winding lanes that remind you of community living in ancient India and to westerners or Europeans it would remind one of lanes in Spain.
Reconnecting Spiritualism in Varanasi...
Sadhu (Sage) From Varanasi...
In Hindu mythology, it is believed that bathing in the river Ganga causes the remission of sins and facilitates the attainment of salvation or nirvana. People travel from distant places to immerse the ashes of their kin in the waters of the Ganga at Varanasi. Some of these sacred places, located on the Ganga, are Varanasi, Haridwar and Prayag (Allahabad). The mouth of River Ganga forms a vast delta, the Sundarban delta (the largest delta in the world).
B.H.U- It is not just spiritualism but also culture and progress of Varanasi worth mentioning here. Banaras Hindu University is one of the top three residential universities in the world. The Banaras Hindu University has a sprawling campus, spanning across 1300 acres. It has well maintained roads (crossing each other at right angle), extensive greenery, a temple, an airstrip and buildings, which are an architectural delight. There is another campus of the Banaras Hindu University at Barkachha, in Mirzapur district, covering an area of 2700 acres.
The BHU comprises of 3 Institutes, 14 Faculties, 124 Departments, 4 Interdisciplinary Centers and 3 Constituent Schools, teaching a vast range of subjects pertaining to all branches of humanities, social sciences, science, technology, medicine, fine arts and performing arts. Banaras Hindu University also has 6 centers of advanced studies, 10 Departments under Special Assistance Programme and a large number of specialized Research Centers. There are four Degree Colleges in Varanasi that are affiliated to the BHU. The Banaras Hindu University consists of about 15000 students, coming from to all streams of life, castes, religions and races. It has about 2000 teachers and nearly 5000 non-teaching staff. Another important feature of the BHU is the number of foreign students. A large number of students come from the U.S.A., Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, etc.
HANDICRAFTS : Varanasi has hailed as a leading center for some of the finest Indian handicrafts. The most renowned craft of Varanasi city is silk weaving. Banarasi Sarees', produced by local craftsman are among the most preferred, not only in India but also all over the world. Besides the famous Benarasi Sari, brassware, copperware, ivory work, glass bangles, wood, stone and clay toys and exquisite gold jewellery are some of the other crafts Varanasi city is famous for. Among the other shopping attractions of Varanasi and surrounding areas are the Bhadohi Carpets and musical instruments.
People Love Shopping for handicrafts in Banaras.
